Happy Folk Arts New Year Folkies

Happy Folk Arts New Year Folkies

Yes it is that time of year again. We have all moved up the ladder of life and now venture into the unknown that is 2009.

I wish you all the very best and may your troubles be little ones and you success be big ones. Go forward to more music and storytelling in 2009.

Thank you to all who have supported this blog and thank you for the kind words. It takes time to gather all the material and enter it and I try to keep it interesting. My aim is to promote the folk arts and keep people in touch with what is going on. Please feel free to send information for the blog and the calendar.

A special thank you to the loyal supporters of the Ashville Open Mic. You are wonderful people and I am proud to call you friends. I have to give a special mention to one person who is the backbone of Thursday nights. Dave Rainey our sound man is one in a million and my job would be so much harder if not for him. Thanks Dave, you are one hell of a fella.

You Tube

Lots of new videos to see thanks to Tom the Ukulele Man. He has all sorts of stuff on his site. Go to You Tube and enter Englishmanjohn (All one word) in the search to see the fun.

To Moms Everywhere

This is for you.
Revel would love this. I hope.

Alex and Zac do some good music.
