Bukka White would have been 98. What a player. Go to the link below for one of the blues greats.
Friday Night was 60s Night.
If you missed Bill Cohen's 60s night you missed a treat. Once again Bill excelled himself and all for charity.
It was nice to see many friends supporting Bill who were part of a 200 plus audience, he packs the place out every year.
During the break many memories were recounted and at the end people were leaving to remember more on the way home.
Bill covers the tragic, the inspirational and humorous and always has a song to sing along with.
More power to your elbow Bill. Your one of the best.
I had to work on late Saturday, but I managed to catch the end of the Halfway Home CD launch at the Book Shop. I missed some good stuff. There were guest performers from the new CD and the whole night was very relaxed and enjoyable and a good turn out. I just wished I had have been there for more.
Well done gang.
Cadillac Jack's Open Mic
If you have not been yet to Cadillac Jack's give it a try. Sign up from 6:30.
It seems the Waffle House next door is the place to be afterwards.
Cadillac Jack's 1849 Stringtown Rd Grove City, OH 43123 (614) 875-7244
A tip for getting there.
As you get off I71 at Grove City get into the center lane to turn right. You need to be on the left as soon as you can because you have to turn left at the Waffle House. As you get onto the slipway you will see the Waffle House sign. Cadillac Jack's is next door.
