Storytelling at Kent

I received this from various members of SOCO. It is this Sunday so I am posting it here instead of the calendar.

Dear Ohio storytellers and organization members,
John McCutcheon will be performing a storytelling concert at The Kent Stage in Kent, Ohio on Sunday Oct. 21 @ 2PM. We at the Western Reserve Folk Arts Association are exploring the creation of a festival in Kent next summer and would like to invite you to the Stage and to see this special concert. In order to attract you and your fellow storytelling organization members, we would like to offer a Buy One, Get One FREE ticket offer. The Kent Stage is located at 175 East Main Street in downtown Kent. The doors will open at 1PM and the concert will conclude around 3:30. Plenty of time to grab a bite to eat and get back home at a reasonable time. Please feel free to visit our website at http://www.kentstage.org/. If you have any questions, our phone number is 330-677-5005.

IF YOU CAN NOT MAKE THE STORYTELLING COME AND SUPPORT THE COLUMBUS FOLK MUSIC SOCIETY AT THE MARATHON. SUNDAY AT 10 PM

"Frontrunner" on Lane Ave. Music is from 10 am to 12:30 pm.

HALFWAY HOME, AT WITS END, JOANIE CALUM AND A POSSIBLE VISIT FROM MIKE POWERS.

Open Mic watchers.

It was a good meeting last night with 15 people there and a number of e mails giving support.

We have a few possibles, and some real possibles. Ralph did sterling work finding two good places. I will be letting you know the outcome.

For those that left early, or did not attend you missed the laugh of the year. Jack has found his place in life. He unknowingly did a stand up routine that had us in stitches. One of the funniest nights I have had for a long time.
